Title: Will There Be Justice? The Growing Call to Investigate Comey, Brennan, and the Russia Collusion Scandal

A political storm is brewing once again in Washington—and this time, it’s not just about allegations. A formal investigation may soon be underway into two of the most powerful former intelligence chiefs in American history: James Comey (FBI) and John Brennan (CIA).
What was once dismissed as political theater—the so-called “Russia collusion hoax”—is now under renewed legal scrutiny. And the Department of Justice might be preparing to appoint a special prosecutor to explore what could be the biggest intelligence scandal in decades.
🕵️♂️ The Grand Conspiracy Claim
According to reports, the DOJ is weighing whether to open a criminal grand jury investigation into a coordinated effort by Comey, Brennan, and others to interfere with the 2016 presidential election and undermine Donald Trump’s administration.
Retired FBI agent Jody Whis, who spent over two decades at the Bureau, didn’t hold back in a recent interview:
“I couldn’t be happier,” he said. “This was outrageous—Flynn, Crossfire Hurricane, the Russian collusion case, the raid on Mar-a-Lago. This wasn’t just politics—it was lawfare.”
The sentiment is echoed by Cash Patel, a former senior intelligence official, who described the affair as “the biggest political criminal scheme ever perpetrated by portions of the FBI leadership.”
🗃️ Hidden Documents and FISA Abuse
One of the more explosive claims? That intelligence officials didn’t just break protocol—they hid classified documentsin restricted rooms within FBI headquarters to avoid detection.
Patel stated that these documents were “put in rooms where people weren’t supposed to look.” He claims to have found what he called a “lockbox” of incriminating files—evidence allegedly withheld from both Congress and the public.
If true, this would suggest intentional concealment of actions meant to derail a presidential candidate and then a sitting president.
Moreover, misuse of the FISA court—a secretive federal body meant to approve surveillance of foreign targets—has come under fire. Critics allege that key FBI officials bastardized the FISA process to spy on U.S. citizens with little or no justification.
⚖️ Should There Be Indictments?
Whis believes the appointment of a special prosecutor is necessary but urges caution:
“These have to be slam-dunk, legitimate cases. If you bring weak charges, it will look like political revenge—and that’s just as bad.”
He points out that the earlier Durham investigation—though anticipated to be a reckoning—ultimately produced little consequence. To succeed this time, the DOJ must ensure any indictments are credible and seen by the American public as fair and justified.
🏛️ A Politicized FBI?
Whis, who served under multiple administrations, admitted that while the FBI always had some political influence due to Congressional oversight, he never witnessed anything like the “weaponization” seen today.
He reflects on the Bureau’s transformation after 9/11—from a reactive law enforcement agency to a proactive counterterrorism force—but laments that the shift has opened the door to deep political manipulation.
“The cancer has worked its way through the organization,” he said, adding that reform won’t be easy—but it is essential.
🧠 The Bigger Picture: Trust and Accountability
The implications of this investigation reach beyond Comey and Brennan. They go to the heart of public trust in America’s justice system.
Were intelligence agencies weaponized for political purposes?
Was the Russia collusion narrative based on deception?
Can the DOJ now act impartially and restore credibility?
The answers to these questions will shape how Americans view their institutions for years to come.
🚨 Final Thoughts
As the DOJ considers appointing a special prosecutor, the country watches closely. For supporters of Trump and critics of the so-called deep state, this is long-overdue accountability. For others, it risks looking like retribution masked as justice.
Either way, the stakes are enormous. If charges are filed, it could mark the beginning of a reckoning for how American intelligence has been used—and misused—over the last decade.
